ALLEGED INCENDIARISM.
(by telegraph own reporter.) Te Awamctu, Monday. Constable Ryan arrested a man named Daniel Kenny this morning, on suspicion of being guilty of incendiarism. It appears that a small house, the property of the Government, situated alongside the Pnmii railway bridge, and which was lately occupied by Inspector Biitterworlh of the Puolic Works department, was burned down last night. Constable Ryan, on receiving information, immediately got on the track and arrested Kcuny a short distance away from tile scene of the fire. The constable has not disclosed any of the information he received, so I cannot give any particulars. The prisoner will be brought before the K.M. on Wednesday, when a remand will be asked for. Constable Ryan made another arrest also, of a native on two charges of cattle stealing. This case will also bo called on Wednesday, when a remand will, I understand, be asked for.
