The Russian Press maintain that the election of Prince Ferdinand to the Throne of Bulgaria is invalid. The French are hostile to the election ; but England, Italy, and Austria, are favourable to it. Germany is lukewarm in the matter. Prince Ferdinand’s election was unanimous, and if the Powers refuse to ratify it, the independence of Bulgaria will be proclaimed.
