RUSSIA AND BULGARIA.

Prince Ferdinand, of SaxeCoburg, has intimated to the Regency his acceptance of the Crown of Bulgaria, provided the Porte approves, and the Powers recognise his election. London, July 9. The Russian Press maintain that the election of Prince Ferdinand to the Throne of Bulgaria is invalid. The French are hostile to the election ; but England, Italy, and Austria, are favourable to it. Germany is lukewarm in the matter. Prince Ferdinand’s election was unanimous, and if the Powers refuse to ratify it, the independence of Bulgaria will be proclaimed.

Regents, have resigned, owing to a conflict between themselves and Colonel Xicolaielf, the Minister of War, who is supported by other Ministers. (Received July )2rh. 20 p.m.) Si. Petersi:i:i!o, July 10. The election of Prince Ferdinand to the Throne of Bulgaria is regarded by the Russian Government as illegal. The Russian Press are unanimous in their hostility to the choice of the sobranje.
