[reuter's telegrams.] Rio Janeiro, Juno 26. Arrived, last evening : The Aorangi from Lyttleton. The cargo of meat is in good condition. London, June 27. Owing to the remarks made by Cardinal Manning and Archbishop Walsh against the intervation of the Vatican in Irish politics, the Pope has suspended the mission of Monsignor Peisico to Ireland, which was proposed, owing to His Holiness being dissatisfied with the attitude of the Irish clergy. The death is announced of Lionel Louis Cohen, Conservative M.P. for North Paddington, aged 55 years. The Australian and New Zealand mails per Alameda from Auckland, 23rd May, were delivered in London to-day via San Francisco. At to-day's wool sale 11,700 bales were catalogued. The market continues firm.
