RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD.
A JiECTINCt of the board was held on Saturday, May 21st, at Te Awjiriutn. Pro.sont : Me-ssrs W. Taylor (re-elected K. Burke, J. B." Teasdale, and W. H. Maudenn. Plan of District.— Proposed by Mr Burke, and seconded by Mr W. H. Mandeno, "That a plan of the Ranpiaohia district be procured, and that Mr Arm-strong l>;; authorised to attend to the nntter." — Carrier). McDonald's Road.—Unsolved, "That all th:i board meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday, 24th May, at Hunt's prate, for the purpose of in-pecting a closed road running , through Mr McDonald's property, with a view of opening tha same." Salk ok Pkopkutv.—A letter wns road from Mr J. Martyn, stating that ho had fold a portion of his property to Mr W. Samni'jns, and wishing to lime the alterations in:ido in tho rate-b )ok. —The cltuk was instructed to make the necessary alterationl!. Gravel Prr, Tavlok'ss Hill.—-Proposed by Mr Mandeno, and seconded by Mr Bnrko, "Thiit tho clerk be instructed to write to the Wai pa County Council, and reque-t payment of royalty at 3.1 per yard on 800 cubie yards of fjravel taken from the board's pit sinos tinifi ago. —Carried. Striking Hath for 1887-33.— Heaved that the matter stand over for the present. Railway Hefokm Petition. — Proposnd by Mr Burke, and seconded by Mr Mandeno, •' That the chairman do not sign the above on behalf of the board."— Carried. New Bridge at Tic llahu.—lt was decidtid that the approaches to the bridge, one and a-lnlf chains, be fascined, and Mr Armstrong was instructed to see the workcarried out. Hcnt's Hill.—The water-table.? were ordered to be cleaned out. Mr Armstrong was instructed to have tho necessary work done. Rates due upon Absentees' Land.— The clerk wi-.s instructed to take lepral steps to recover these rates. The clerk was also instructed lo advertise that nil arrears of rates not paid on or before loth June next will be placed in the hands of a solicitor for recovery. * Sjveral small aec.nints were pnsied for payment, am! the board adjourned.
