Court was not- held till the following day, when tho undermentioned cases were held before Mr H. A. Stratford :—Civil: Graves and Co. v. Hubert Brown for goods supplied, £10. Judgment for defendant, with costs 17s. Smith and, Don v. H. Randolph, claim for board and billiard table £17 Is (id. Defendant appeared and objected to bill of particulars. The plaintiffs were instructed to .furnish another bill, and a fresh summons would issue free of cost. Smith and Don v. P. J. Kcrr for board £5 9.--. Defendant admitted the amount, but stated he had paid by order on Mr J. Wiseman £o. Plaintiff showed that the order was not recognised by Mr Wiseman, who had previously paid the defendant all moneys due to him. Judgment was given for the amount claimed with costs 10.*. Criminal : James Ryan, the lad who, on March 22nd last, was charged with two cases of larcony, appeared in court to receive sentence. On one charge a penalty of £2 was inflicted, or, in default, twenty-onc-days imprisonment in Monnt Eden Gaol. The other charge was dismissed. Warden's Court: The right to occupy as a residence sito .section 5, Church block in Lipsey'.s block, was sold by auction to Mr C. S. Pyne for £().—Ro the Waiorongomai Tramway Lease, the Pinko County Council was authorised to sub-let it in terms set forth in the conditions filed. —Application for licensed holding, by J. A. Dobson. Ordered that the application bs sent to the Chief Surveyor in Aucklend, with information that the survey overlaps adjoining claims. — Applications for residence sites 0, 7 and S, adjoining the domain, by the Church of England vestry, and for sites 2, 3, -1, and 5, also adjoining tha domain, and applied for by the domain board, were granted.—Renewal of protection for one month, from the 25th inst., was granted for the following licensed holdings at Tui Creek •.—Champion Lode, claims 1, 2. 3 and 4 ; Albion ; Gladstone ; Surprises, ]\ T o. 1 and No. 1: Mark Moon, and Keep it Dark.
