Tamahere School.

A MEETING of the householders in the Tamahere school "district was held ori Monday evening in the schoolroom.. About twenty -person's attended, and Mr Ashfcon J. F. Wheeler was, moved ; into the chair. The Secretary of the late committee read the minutes of the meetings held during tinpast year, and stated that there was a balance of £1 lt>s lOd to the credit of the school. .. - V'; ; ; 7 The following ! gentlemen were 1 then nominated to act r on. the committee for the ensuing year :—Messrs Rnynes, Salmon, Rhodes, Wheeler, and Barwell. Five 'members of the late committee did not offer themselves for re-election.- At the stibsequent meeting of the committee. Mr Wheeler was elected chairman, and MiSalmon secretary and treasurer. _ ■ It was decided to hold a concert in aid of the school funds during the month of June.
