Cambridge West School.

The annual meeting of householders of the above School was held at the schoolroom, on Monday, the 25th April, 18 householders wets present. Mr W. Tucker was voted to the chair. . The.chairman requested the Secretary, to read thef statement of accounts! for the past year, which had been found certified by the CTOvernment auditor. The late chairman reported that tlie Board of - Education had made a grant of. £12 to . fence the two acres adjoining the school for a playground. The Master. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to Mr Hyatt, and the other. friends who had so\ , successfully ' carried t jout >. the Dramatic' Entertainment,. in aid of the school fund for purchasing and erecting swings. The following were nominated as a committee : Messrs ■ Allen, ! Jarrett, Bailey, Fitzgerald, M. Dillon, J. Kingdon, T. Jones, <T. Chambers, J. Hicks and J. Yickers. , On a ballot being taken,. Messrs Allen; Jarrett, Bailey, Fitzgerald, Dillon. Kingdon and Hicks were declared elected. At subsequent meeting -of the new committee,; <Mr- Allen, waia re-elected chairman, and H. Fitzgerald secrecary. 1 It was further resolved ; tliat tenders be invited for keeping the school clean for the ensuing year. Accounts to the amount of £317s.Gd were passed for payment. .
