THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MR SIMPSON.
Our Cambridge reporter telegraphed last night No trace whatever can be found of Mr Simpson. Te Koutu late' has ujcu thoroughly dragged and numerous cartridges of dynamite have been discharged in it, but without bringing any tra.ee of the missing man to the surface. Inquiries have been made in all directions, both by telegraph and other ways, but nothing can be heard of him. There is a talk of organising a large search party on Sunday next if he should not turn up in the interim, and again examining the ground round about domain, and along what is known as Carter's Flat, as some people think he may have felt unwell and sat down in the scrub, and perhaps suddenly died. Others think he is on the Mararoa on the way to Sydney, but I think ho would have been recognised at Auckland if he had taken that route.
