He was at the time engaged in bringing down quartz, after firing a shot, and was using a crowbar to prise out soino of the loose stone, when he over-balanced himself, and fell to a depth of about 25 feet, breaking his arm and sustaining some other slight injuries. Surgical aid was quickly procured, and so far he is progressing favourably.
