THE PROPOSED NEW HOSPITAL.
«> _ TO THB EDITOR. Sill, —It seoins strange to me that with the fair claims the district and the hospital board have upon the Government for assistance in stiirting a, hospital in Waikato, the board has. not thought it worth while to send its chairman to Wellington to urge these claims personally upon the Government. This surely has been an oversight on the part of tho board anl of the public press, for experience in all such cases teaches us that where letter writing is practically useless personal applications are generally more or less successful. The cost would not bo great; the probable gain large. The board will perhaps pardon the suggestion coming from an outsider, the, attention of members when on hospital business having necessarily been so largely engaged with the discussion of a multiplicity of details.—Yours truly, Business. Tβ Awamutu, March sth.
