[Received February-18th, 1 p.m.] WOOL SALES. London, February 18. The wool sales closed to-day. The competition up to the last was brisker and the rates firm. The total quantity sold was 280000 bales, and 20,000 > were held orer. Greasy wools ruled a half-penny higher than last sale's closing rates, and scoured about the same rates as at the close of the December series, fleece wool closed irregular. Lamb's wool is more in demand at a slight improvement. For crossbreds the prices are a half-penny better than closing rates of last sales.
