PIRONGIA MINERAL ASSOCIATION.
According to advertisement, a meeting of the shareholders of the Pirongia Mineral Association was held in the Public Hall, Alexandra, on Saturday, the 13th inst.. at 8 p.m., for the purpo&e of winding up the association and disposing of the funds in hand. Mr A. Smith was voted to the chair, and having explained the purpose of the meeting, the following motion was put to the meeting, and carried :—" That the Pirongia Mineral Association be wound up, and that the unused funds to the credit of the said association be handed over to the Alexandra Public} Library Committee for the purpose of helping to remo\e the native store lately granted by the Government, to a more convenient site as a public library." Major Jackson then suggested that it would be better to call another meeting for next Saturday, by advertisement in The Waikato Timks, to confirm or otherwise the present resolution. This suggestion was acted upon, and it was resolved that the meeting be called for next Saturday, at 8.30 p.m.
