HAMILTON ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meetinar of the Hamilton Road Buard was held on Saturday, and in the absence of the chairman (Mr Maunder) through sickness, Mr John Atkinson was voted to that position. The other members of the board present were Messrs Way, Rothwell, and McPherson. In reply to an application from Mr K. Martin for extension of time over his culvert contract on the Hamilton- Whntauhata road, it was agreed to grant the time asked for, namely, h'\ c week*. It was also resolved to rescind a resolution passed at the meeting of the board on August Oth in relation to commission due to collector, a& on considering the matter it was clear by the anange'nent they had with their collector that he was entitled to claim his commission on all rates collected, whether by himself or through the aid of the board's solicitor, Mr O'Neill. The secretary was in&tructed to make certain corrections in the rate-book and valuation li^t in connection with the properties of Mes.srs R. W. Hammond, H. Bullock-Webster, and James Williamson. In the matter of Mr Dellicar'a letter, re road through Lots GO, 71, and 73, Piikete, the secretary was requested to write for further information. The engineer was instructed to interview Capt. Steelo re furze growing on land at Pnkete, near O'l3rien't> farm. Accounts amounting to £93 ;\s were passed for payment, and tho meeting closed.
