SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN COHHKSPONDKNT.I Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to day, Lunny was sentenced to two years for shooting at his wife ; Jas. Dodds to four months and 23 lashes for indecent assault. George Harcourt, charged with fraudulently embezzling £25, the money of the Eureka Goldmining Company, pleaded guilty. The prisoner was also charged with embezzling trust money (£100) of one John Lawson. Prisoner pleaded "Guilty" to this and other charges, and sentence was deferred to next morning at 9.40 a.m. Christchurch, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day, Frederick Percy Hunt was found guilty of indecent assault on a girl of 8, and sentence was deferred. George Brown for unlawfully stabbing a man with a pocket-knife was sentenced to six months hard labour, and James Castles for violent assault, to twelve months hard labour.
