HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Hamilton Domain Board was held in the council chambers last night. Piesent : Messrs VV. A. Graham (chairman), Knox, Edgecumbe, Day, Tippen, Bell, Barton, and Jones. Correspondence was read from Mr Elliott, Under-Secretary for Lands, informing the board that lots No. 8, 9, and 10 of the domain lands, which hud originally been reserved for railway purposes, not being required, would be vested in the board in due course. A reply from the Waikato County Council, in reference to drainage of the Peach Grove reserve, proposed to be undertaken jointly with the Domain Board, was read, to the effect that as yet no official intimation had been received that, the Raid lands had been vested in the Waikato County Council. Mr Stead man's application to have certain lots of land lately leased by him surveyed, so as to enable him to proceed with fencing same, was considered, and the engineer, Mr Sandes, was instructed to mark out the boundaries, Mr Stead trnn to provide the necessary labour for cutting the lines. It was resolved that the action of the engineer in closing with Mr Vesey for the supply of drain pipes, for 12in. at 2s 7d, and for 9m. at Is 7d, be endorsed. The engineer was instructed to call for tenders for fencing the domain lands lately leased, and also the lands set aside for commonage. The secretary was instructed to write and thank Mr Muir Douglas for his liberal ] donation of £5 towards assisting in the object of pisciculture, which has been so successsully carried on under the auspices of the board for some yoars past. It was arranged that the chairman should proceed to Auckland to meet Mr B.tlUnce on Friday as touching several m.ittersof interest in connection with prosecuting further improvements in relation to domain lands. A number of accounts wore passed for payment and the board rose.
