1 London, September 13. In the House of Commons to-day, a bill to amend the present land legislation of Ireland was introduced by Mr Parnell, and read a first time. The measure provides that the Land Court should be empowered to reduce rents during a period of two years, and evictions should be stayed when the tenant has deposited with the court half the amount owing to landlord.
