London, August fl. Thr Australian crickoters commenced n match at Jiirmmghutn against eleven of WarVjckahife. The weather was splendid. There was a large attendance. The visitor* went in Hist, and scored 107. The home team followed with 70. Wlion the stumps were drawn for the day, the Australians, in fheir second innings, had three wicket* down for 3T>.
August 10. The match at Birmingham, Australians v. Warwickshire, could not be resumed to-day owing to the heavy rain, and has now been abandoned.
