The Bolton Case. Auckland, Wednesday Night. At the Supreme. Cuurt to-day, his Honour decided in the Bolton case that the £.iOO belonged to Bolton, jind must bo awarded to the trustee in his insolvent state; that the costs of the suit by Williamson be paid by Mrs Bolton, as it was through h«r fraudulent conduct plaintiff was put to the costs of action. This decision signifies that the old creditors of Bolton who was an uncertiticated bankrupt will get paid twenty shillings in che pound, while Williamson and other subsequent creditors can only claim upon the balance left after the liquidation of the old estate.

Divorce Case. In the divorce case, Broadfoot v. Elizabeth Broadfoot and William Atwill, corespondent, George Broadfo(jt, - settler, Onehunga, and petitioner, deposed* that he wan married in 1882 to co-respondent, whose name was Davis. They resided together tmtil the 21st September, 1885, but there waa no issue. Win. Atwill, a workintjman, then came as a lodger in February. Had no suspicion of anything wrong until the 9th August, when he heard a report and spoke to her. The report was that she wan pregnant by the man in the house. He had been a faithful husband. She snid it was a slander upon her honour. She left her home on the 21st September. He came to Auckland and found that she was living at Mrs Jones', in Haydn-street. Evidence was given that she was cohabiting with Atwill. The judge said the case was very clear, and granted a degree nisi, co-respon-dent to pay costs.

The Unemployed. An orderly meeting of five hundred unemployed, held on the wharf, passed resolutions calling upon the Mayor and the Government for work. A telegram was despatched to the Government this afternoon, and the following reply was received by Mr Famuli from Sir R. Stout :-—'• Very sorry to learn men out of employment. Will consult the Minister of Public Works, and will see what can be done."

The Kimberley Rush. Thirty-seven passengers have booked for Kimberley per the Rapido.

Bankruptcy. Mr Fenton, the hatter, has filed a petition in bankruptcy.

The Markets. The Farmers' Co-operative Association report that at the weekly auction to-day, there was a good attendance, but very litt.le demand for local bacon or salt butter. There was good enquiry for fresh butter, eggs and lemons. The following prices were realised : — Fowls, Is (id to 2s; ducks, Is to 2s ; bacon, local, (id per lb ; cheese, Hd to oid ; salt butter, (id to 7d ; honey, 3d per lb ; carrots, £2 10s per ton, bags in ; chaff, £4 per ton ; pressed hay, £4 ]0s to £5 per ton ; clover hay, £5 10s per ton ; potatoes, Waikato, £4 lOh to £5 per ton, bags in. Messrs Morton and Jackson report the sale of Hobart fruit, French crabs, 9s 3d, 8s 9d, and 9s per ca<e.
