[by telegraph— own couhkspondet.] Hawkka, Wednesday. A visit was made to Kapuni, near Melling'* house.yesterday, where the Maoris are all congregated since the arrests on •Sunday. Some were sulky. " The Maoris rather boast about Kereopa not being taken and say, "you wanted to take Kereopa, but you were afraid." Kef ei ring to the row on Sunday, they say, if all the white men had used their sticks like one or two did, there would have been serious trouble. Although the Maoris were sulky yesterday, food was given to some of the party. The last of the drays have been taken from Huntie's gates to day. Opunakk, Wednesday. Titokowaru, Ngahune, Kahu, Rangiheui, Akeake, Kuku, and Iki, were charged this afternoon before Col. Roberts, K.M., with having' committed uiil.iwfuj wilful damage and injury to the property of Andrew Hastie to the extent £20. The evidence given bore out the facts already telegraphed. The case was not concluded.
