N. N. Z. FARMERS' CO-OPERA-TIVE ASSOCIATION. Disposal of the Retail Branches.
At a recent meeting of the directors, at Auckland, it was decided to dispose of the retail branches of the co-operative associaand as the first result of this decision the Hamilton business has boen sold to Mr John Parr, the association's local manager. Mr Parr has purchased the ntock at cobt price with freight added, and has taken ovpt the lease of the premises. Mr (Jane, Managing Director for Waikato, was in Hamilton yesterday taking htock. From what wo can gather, the other Waikato brandies will also be got lid of Khortly, an offer for the Cambridge stock having boen received. It in.iy be remembered that,, notwithstanding the circumstance that a loss on the whole of the Waikato retail business lias been shjiwn by the secretary in his annual .statements, Mr Parr has always contended that his branch has earned a profit ever since the commencement of operations. He h.is sealed this opinion by taking over the busines*, and we trust his unterpiuse will meet with the success it deserves.
