WELLINGTON. Sunday. A firr broke out in the Wellington Woollen Factory's Works yesterday, bnt was extinguished before much damage mtm dove.
Monday. The Supreme Court criminal sittings commenced this morning. There art fifteen rases. The Judge, in his charge to the Grand Jury, said the cases were of a simple character, and none called for any remark.
BLENHEIM, Monday. An earthquake shock was experienced here at 8 V2 this niornins, preceded by a rnmblinu noise. Snnilar noises were heard between 9 and 10 last night.
