Sydney, July 10. At eleven o'clock this morning" the Legislative Assembly was still sitting, and it was thought probable it would continue to do so until Tuesday next. Several scenes of great confusion occurred, during which the members threatened on© another with personal violence. At times the House has been a perfect Babel.
Sydney, July 11. The Legislative Assembly con* tinued in committee on the Customi Bill until an early hour this morning. Late last night a compromise wrs declared, and after entering * protest against the House sitting on •Sunday, the Opposition left th* Chamber in a body at midnight. The Government then proceeded with the Bill, and after passing the clauses, postponed discussion of the schedule, and the Assembly ad" journed until Tuesday. At the con* elusion of the proceedings tha strangers in the gallery groaned.
