Supreme Court. Auckland, Monday Night. At the Supremo Court, in Bolton'n cane, after hearing evidence for the prosecution, Justice (Jillien said, looking at prosecutor's evidence, he thought the charge of false pretences could not bo sustained. He regarded it us a gross fraud. Such had been perpetrated upon Mr Williamson, but the chfcrge of false pretences could not bo sustained. The jury, by hi 1 * Honour's direction, returned a verdict of not guilty. His Honour, in discharging the prisoner, Haid he and his wife had been playing a nice little game between them.
