Yesterday.— [Before Messrs. G. W. Russell.and T. B. Lewis, J.P.J Booth and Rohkrts v. W. Douglas.— Mr Dyer for plaintiff. Charles Roberts proved ihe debt. Judgment for plaintiff for £3 8s sd, and costs £1. J. Arnold v. Lyon.— Judgment for plaintiff, £214 7d and costs 12-. Booth and Roberts v. Blake.— Mr Dyer for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff £5 Is a lie conts HI 14s (kl. VV. Kixoaid v. Jamks Watt. Jndgement summons. Mr Dyer fo> plaintiff.— James Watt, sworn, depost-d he was a farmer living at Pukerimu, but had no means to satisfy the judgment at presentMr Buttle had taken a crop of turnips off his hands, but after paying himself for labour and the manure used for the crop, which he had found, be banded defendant a balance about £7 10s only. The money had been paid to defendant through Mr liane, who had deducted a debt due to hirmelf, leaving the amount mentioned to be given to defendant. The crop was valued at £'42, but he would swear the amount he received was under £8, owing to the circumstances stated above. He had used ihe amount paid him for his living expeuses. His father-in-law had given him the use of a horse and dv.iy for a time, to enable him to earn a livelihood. Neither the horse and dray, nor the furniture of his house, belonged to himself. Mr McNicol had bought the furniture from the persons who purchased it, and allowed him the use of it. ' Order was made for the payment of the amount, £3 10s, with £1 14s, coats, by instalments of £1 per month.
