Hesiid he was disgusted with the behaviour of some of the men, who hud not boen \er> respectful to -him, because ho had boen compelled to dibchaive Mime- 'if them. Ho had noticed some of them drinking since last pay day, instead of taking their money home. They .should remember they were receiving public money, and be reasonable in their demand?. He then agreed to telegraph a resolution that 300 men were out of work and with their families on the verge of starvation.
