TE MAT A. Karioi Road Board.

Thß annual meeting took plnce at the office of the board, Te Mata, on Saturday, May Ist, Mr Bilhngton in tho chair. The following ratepayers were elected meinlwra of the board :— Mes<rs Billinßtnn, McCracken, Phillipps, Liddell, and Thompson, The statement allowed that tho rates collected amounted to £143, and the subsidies £62, While the expenditure was £lbl ; leaving a balance of £01 0s lid in hand. At the lxurd meeting afterwards, Mr Billington was elected chairman, and Mr Thompson treasurer. Mr Jolinston was appointed clerk. Business of various Icinds, of interest to the Te Mata and Ruapuke districts, was considered. It w.i* recommended to erpct in future stono or concrete piers to all bridges.— (Own Correspondent.)
