Twenty-five pounds worth of books have been ordered, one-half of which have already arrived, and the balance are on the way. Tho committee sincereljr hope that efforts to establish a library will be fully appreciated by the children *nd their parents. In conclusion we would imprettn on the parents tho necessity of urging their children to be more regular and punctual in their attendance at school. Ei.kction ok Committee.— For the new committee there were twelve nominated, and on a ballot being token the following seven were declared duly elected :—: — Messw Allen. Cudworth, Biiley, T. W. Hicks, Fitzgerald, C. Jarrett and Thot. Jones. A vote of thanks to the chairman cloied the public meeting. At * meeting of the committee held subsequently, Mr E. Alien was re-elected chairman, and Mr H. Fitzgerald »ecretary. — It was re-solved that tenders bo invited for keeping the school buildings clean for one year, and also that the English Church be allowed the use of the schoolroom on Sundays for Sunday-school.
The annual meeting of householders of Cambridge West was held at the schoolroom on Tuesday at 7 iJ.ni. About 30 householders were present, and Mr Cudworth was voted to the chair. The chairman read the order of proceedings for the electiou of the new committee, and requested the secretary to read the annual report of the committee.

Annual Rbport.—The following report was read :— In presenting their 'annual report, the Cambridge West School Com-, inittee ttke the opportunity of congratulating the district on the completion of the additions to the school, which they now consider second to none in any of the country districts. The committee desire on this occasion to convey their cordial thanks to the Board of Education for carrying out the enlargement of the school in such a satisfactory manner, and also for the handsome way in which they have acceded to their requests on every occasion since the school wm first opeend.
