fBY TKLEGRAPH— OWN COURESPONDENT.I The Unemployed. Auckland, Wednesday Night. A RECORD of unemployed labour which is being taken at the Watchman office with the object of placing a reliable return before the Government, already bears the names of over 150 men, from 19 years of age up to 70, upon whom 355 children are dependent. The table of occupations show 90 are labourers.

The Property Tax. At the Property TaX Review Court today the Deputy Commissioner intimated that he adhered to the proposed purchase of property by the Government. He said none of the Ministers knew anything of the course be had pursued in this case till it was announced in the Press. Mr Campbell, solicitor for Mr McArthur, stated his client was prepared to accept the valuation the reviewers fixed. Evidence was then called by the Deputy Commissioner in support of the Government valuation, which was sustained by the Board of Reviewers. Mr McArthur then formally intimated acceptance of the valuation. It remains to be seen whether the Commissioner will persist in the seizure of the property.

North New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Association. At the North New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association's auction sale of horse feed, &c, today, the following prices were realised : — Chaff, £4 to £4 5s per ton ; oats, 2a 3d to 3s ; barley, 3s to 3s Id ; fowls, Is Id to Is 6d. There was only & poor inquiry for chaff. Heavy feed oats told well.
