CRICKET. Waipa v. Waikato.
The nnnual match between the Counties was played on Sydney Square, Hamilton, on Saturday. The game was not very exciting, and the play on botli aide* wa» not by any means up to the average. Though the day was fine, there were very few spectators. The g^ine was won by Waikato in the first innings, there being no time to play the second innings. Waipa, though slaughtered in the first, mads a gallant fight in the second tunings. Appended are the scores :—
