Furniture Polish.

The subjoined simple preparation is said to be desirable for oloaning and polishing old furniture. Over a moderate fire put a perfectly clean vessel. Into this drop two ounces of white or yellow wax. When molted add four ounce 3 of pure turpentine, then stir until 0001, when it i 3 ready for use. The mixture brings out the original oolor of the wood, adding a lustre equal to that of varnish.

A paste formed of whiting and benzine will cleanse marble from grease, and one made of whiting and ohloride of soda, spread and left to dry, in the sun if possible, on the marble, will remove stains.
