Mr Bmksieceived the doputition courteously and entered fully into the subji ct. Ho said the Fiec/ing Company had no intention whatever of staiting .slaughtering yards or tinning woiks in Waikato. In this way, too, the company would be-~t meat tho Mewd of its Waikato shareholder. Tho butchois of Auckland lecommond the establishment of .sl.iugliteiniff y.iids in the Waikato, with a cooling chamber in Auckland, so that the meat could bo sent down in bulk and distnbuted as required to the \ai ions retail shops. A wtrong feeling was manifested in Auckland that the Co-opera-tive Association should take over the business. Mr (iiah.un expiesses himself as being quite satisfied with the result of his Auckland trip.
