The p.ipers further show that this month K«nl (Jranville informed Count Munster, in London, that, if the Gennan-Sainoan agreement of November last w.is latitied, it would bo ncceurtary for England to conclude a similar arrangement with King Malietoa for the benefit of British subjects in Samoa. The book also contains a letter from Malietoa, complaining that the treaty with fiermany waH unjustly obtained, and asknitC that the Emperor should reject it.
