The building was hlled by a very appieuative audience, and a veiy good prngiamme was provided. Where .ill did ao well it is by no means easy to particulai up, but Mi^s Murray's tendering of "Pestal," and Mr Trewheellar's "Lost Chord " seemed to come in for the largest share of applause. Mie s Salmon also «anar a solo very sweet!}'. The two vocal duets were well sung, a quartette from "Elijah," entitled "Cant Thy Burden," which require* very nice Hinging and expression, was veiy well handled. The choir sang sever.il anthems in a style which displayed careful training, and reflects credit upon their conductor, Mr Meachem. The instrumental pieces were much alwne the average, comprising 1 a flute trio by the Masters James, and a harmonium iolo by Mr R. Salmon, who also played all the accompaniments satisfactorily.
