A lengthy report was received from the engiueer, recommending certain works in the Rangiaohia, Newcastle and Tuhikaramea Ridings, to the extent of some £170. These were agreed to by the council, which also sanctioned the expenditure of a small sum of money to make good the main road between Ohaupo and Te Awamutu. The question of the new railway time-table was discussed. The chairman pointed out that (he only way to secure a return to the old time-table was by petitioning the Department.
