CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above board was held on Monday morning. Present : — Messrs T. Wells (chairman), Jno. Fisher, E. Hewitt and It. Kirkwood. TkvnsKKK ok SKoriONS.— Mr J. L. Soutter wrote stilting that he had accepted a transfer of sections 15, 23 and 24 from Mr (t, F, Husking, and asked that the board sanction the same.— On the motion of Mr Kirkwood the transfer was accepted. Domain Workman.— John Bright wrote offering to take charge of the domain grounds lately laid off by Mr Purdie ; also certifying that he would undertake to do the work for £1 per week. Would offer his services regularly for £2 a week. Other verbal applications for the same position were received. — No action was taken in the matter. Financial. — The Chairman stated that £214 17s lid was due in rents to the 10th August last. This was made up of tents ranging from one up to eight quarters.— Mr E. B. Reynolds owed £14 Is 9d, which, as he had filed his schedule, they were not likely to get. — The total assets of the board amounted to £289 10s 2d, and against this there were liabilities to the extent of £245 ; or, up to the 10th November last the board had a credit balance of £45. The bank overdraft at present was £190. Te Koutu Reservk.— The Chairman stated that the total expenditure on this reserve, including fencing, clearing and other incidental expenses had been £380. — Mr Purdie submitted a specification for keeping the lake reserve in order for the year ending December, 1885, also carrying out certain works and improvements, — It was agreed to call for tenders for fcho work. Several accounts were passed for payment.
