TE AWAMUTU.
MR HYLANDS HOUSE-BREAKING. Mr Hylvnd gave an exhibition here on Monday in the pound. The first horse he took in hand was a four-year-old medium draught colt. A better subject on which to try his skill could scarcely be found. The colt was very timid, and had a considerable share of bad temper also. From the time Mr Hyland began until he was on the horse's back nearly two hours had elapsed. At the end of two hours and ten minutes he had finished and turned the horse out perfectly quiet. A3 it was Into there was only tune to do another. He, however, selected the wildest looking of -ibfj lot brought down for him to operate oiy a little pony, and in ten minutes he was lying at full length on the pony's back, and in a few minutes more had tho saddle on and rode it round the yard. He does by kindnesb and patience what we all used to do by roping and pulling, and knocking the horse about. — (Own Correspondent.)
