Prospecting near Te Aroha. Waiohongomat, Wednesday. A fresh party of prospectors are being sent out by the residents of Te Aroha to thoroughly prospect; the side of the hill facing the town, the immediate locality being the head of the atoney creek. It has long been the impression of old residents that from pieces of stone being found on that creek with rich gold in them, that there must be a good reef somewhere in that neighbourhood still undisco\ered. The Hit or Miss, a claim situated near Te Aroha, is sending a parcel of 20 tons to the Waiorongomai battery as a trial.
