PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the board was held at the Pukerimu schoolhouse on Friday, the 3lst inst. Present : Messrs J. Fisher (chairman), Scoct and Kusabs. A letter was received from the Waipa County Council ;c the diainage in Cambridge West. A letter was read from Mr Percy Smith, Assistant-Surveyor General, in reference to a ro.ul to be taken through section 350, and another road to be closed between lots 300 and 3.37, and saying that at the latter is in part of a road along the banks of a river, &o , it coulrt not be closed. — It was left to the chairman to take what further steps he thought necessary in the matter. Letteis weie lead from some residents in Cambridge West, re repairs to certain streets in the township. — The matter was left in the hands of Messrs Fisher and Reynolds. Complaints wag made, of a portion of the ledoubt adjoining the eel weir about eight chains which requires to be giavclled. — Agreed that Mr Oriice look after and get the work done. It was resolved that Mr W. Scott look after the district roads on the west side of Walker's Gully, and Mr H. Kusabs on the west side of Cowley's creek, Mr Kusabs to got some necessary lepairs done, and also to report at the next meeting on the piobablc cost of diaining and foiming about 18 chains of road. It was rosohod unanimously that the clerk wnte to Mrs S. Fleming, "That the members of the board deMies to expi ess their s>inme i egret at tlic untimely i death of the ir late colleague, Mr >S Fleming, and expiess their deep sympathy with ncr and her fiimily in theii bereavement. Accounts wore received and passed to the amount of £13 2s.— (A Coire&pondent.)
