J. Scott, Y. C. Ceimann, W. Macky, G. Knch and J. Newland. The old auditors were re-elected. Mr J. H. Scott desired the meeting to e\pie«s an opinion as to the consumption of the whey, as unless he could obtain his he should decline to send milk to the factory. The matter was left as a fitting subject for the new directors to decide. Mi Germann moved a vote of thanks to Mr Maunder for his gratuitous services as acting secretary. He was engaged at a salary, but had waived his claim for the benefit of milk suppliers. Mr Finch seconded the motion, which was duly carried and acknowledged. The inpeting expiessed their satisfaction with the management of the late diiectors, which they had already evidenced by xeelecting them, and the proceedings terminated.
" Have you any boned turkey ?" asked a hungry customer in Nevada restaurent. The proprietor laid his hand on his revolver and cried, "No insinerations here, young man • We're honest here, and don't ' bone' nothin '!" A correspondent of the Athenreuni points out that Lord Rosebery, the other day, revived an old error by attributing to Lord Beaconsfield the invention of the phrase, " the gondola of London" for a hansom cab. The phrase occurs in Balzac, applied to the Paris fiacres, and was borrowed from him by Mr Whittey, Thb Greatksi Klessing. — A simple, pure, harmless remedy that cures every time, and prevents disease by keeping the blood pure, stomach regular, kidneys and liver active, is the greatest blessing ever conferred upon man. Hop Bitters is that remedy, and its proprietors are being blessed by thousands who have boen cured by it. Will you try it ? See. "Wickld for Cuj^GYMrN.— " I beliove it to be all wrong and even wicked for clergymen or other public men to be led into giving testimonials to quack doctors or vile stuffs called medicines, but when a really meritoi ious article is made up of common valuable remedies known to all, and that all physicians use and trust in daily, we should freely commend it. I therefore cheerfully and heartily commend Hop BUteis for the good they have done me ! and my friends, firmly belioving 1 they iave no equal for family use. I will not bo without them,"— Rev-— * W*^»n6t9»i I>« C $,«*<*«
