Battery Returns. Waiorongomai, Tuesday. The battery returns for latt week arc :—: — New Find, 93 trucks crushed for 76 ozs. retorted gold. Colonist, 27 trucks for 110 ozs. amalgam. Waiorongomai, 24 trucks, 119ozs. 11 dwts. amalgam. Premier (tailings), 10 ozs. The Inverness and Waiorongomai will finish crushing about tomorrow. The Waiorongomai is shaping for over 2ozs. to the truck.
County Elections. Nominations are required to be sent to the returning officer on Saturday the Ist prox. Mr Murphy ia not a. candidate but there is not likely to be any lack of aspirants.
