Land Sale. Auckland, Wednesday Night. At Greenwood's land sale to-day, 163 acres at Ahipara brought 5a an acre. Dobsoifs farm, YVaikomiti, containing 48 acres, sold for £140. The Ellerslie land lots were sold at £42 10s per acre. Land at Pokeno did not reach tho reserve.
Tawhiao's Movements. Tawhiao, Tuhi and Pa ul Tuhaere left for Waikato by train this morning. The former go to Whatiuhatihoe to be present at a larajc meeting of natives to be held there. Paul accompanies them part of the journey, returning here for the pnrpose of making arrangements for a native meeting at Kaipara on December 15th, at which Tawhiao ia expected. Before leaving Auckland Tawhiao presented Andrew Wai.ipo and Paul Tuhaere, as representatives of the Kaipara tribe, with gifts, as signs that peace existed between their people and W.iikatos, between whom in former times great enmity existed. Tawhiao's present to Waiapo was a handsome gold watch and chain, and when handing it over he expres»cd a hope that the recipient would attend to his work as a solicitor, which he has lately entered upon in an Auckland office.
