WAIPAWA, Monday

A burglarious attempt was made to break into the Hank ot New Zealand at Waipukurau at two o'clock on Sunday morning. The thieves broke through the window and door, but were then alarmed by the wakiug of the agent and escaped. No trace of the burglars has been found.
