The Tramway Management.

[by telegraph.—own reporter.] Cambridge, Friday Night. A special meeting of the Piako County Council was held to-night to consider the question of the tramway management. It will be remembered that at last meeting Cr.i. Chepmell and Gould spoke adversely of the present management, and recommended leasing the line. Mr Adams, the manager, forthwith tendered his resignation, and I\Er Firth, chairman of the Tramway Committee, also resigned. At the meeting to-night, Mr Firth stated that he looked upon the proceedings of last meeting as a direct vote of censure. Cr. Chepmell .said tliat his remarks at last meeting were not intended as censure. He would propose that the resignations be accepted. Cr. Gould seconded, and the motion was carried.
