TAMAHERE FARMERS' CLUB.

At the annual meeting of the Tamahere Farmer's Club, held on the 4th July, the following letter from the manager of the New Zealand Frozen Meat and Storage Company was read :— New Zealand Frozen Meat and Storage Company, Limited, 125 Queen-btreet, Auckland, 16th June. 1884. Dear Sir, — I have been requested by the chairman of this company to reply to your favour, dated the 10th instant, and in reply j beg to state that there has been no unnecessary delay in starting our freezing works. In consequence of having to deal with the Harbour Board and City Council as regards site and the reclamation, we have had a very large amount nf detail and formal work to put through, and although both bodies have met us in a most liberal spirit, matters that could have been easily settled with private individuals under tha circumstances above mentioned, have taken much more time and trouble on both sides. However, we hope to bo able to have our works in full operation by the time you mention.— l am, Sir, your obedient servant, Joseph Banks, Manager.
