THE SHROPSHIRE SHEEP.
TO THE KDITOII. Sir, — Some ffew months ago there was an account in your paper of the otijui of the Shropshire Down Sheep, and as to who was the founder of them. The following is an extract from an English paper, ("The Soominstcr News,'') of March the 14th, headed "Sluopshiie sheep. Son of the founder of the bietd in Now Zealand."— "Many of our readers will be inteiested to Know that there is at present residing at Tnakau, New Zealand, Mr Timothy Bluck, hale, blight and heaity, though 75 years of ape. Mr Bluclv's father was the originator of the Shropshire Down sheep. In 1841 Ml Bluck had the last sale of his celebrated fiocU of font hnndied sheep at Heiefoid At a tune when Heiefoid cattle aie in such demand in Amencaand the colonies, it is an additional pleasuie to know that Shropslure is so well lepresented at the antipodes by the son of &o noted a breeder of sheep." — I am, &o , SPBsuuißEit.
