PATEA, Friday.

A fire broke out at 7 o'clock this morning in the block of buildings owned by Mr C. Tennent, part of the building wa? gutted, Mr D. W. Hai ris who occupies a portion loses to the extent of £30. A quantity of wheat belonging to Davis in the lower story was damaged. He is insured in the South Butislffor £800. Afire broke out in Gibbon's brewery yesterday afternoon but was got under betore much damage was done.
