THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS IN ENGLAND [REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] London, June 17.
The cricket match between the Australian team and Eleven of Cambridge University, commenced afc Cambridge to-day. The following are the names of the local team :— Mansfield, Smith, J. E. K. Studd, Paravicini, Topham, Turner, Wright, Bainbridge, Dreatoree, , Marchant, and Rock. The home team went in tiist, and were all out for 204, the highest scorers being Bainbridge, c, 61 ; Studd, b, 56 ; Marchant, c, 34. The visitors, in their fiisfc inninga, had put together 122 for the 1o;b of four wickets, when the stumps were drawn. McDonnell was bowled for 25 ; Murdoch, not out, 46. The weather was fine during the 'day, aud great interest is being taken in the match.
