NGARUAWAHIA CEMETERY.
" En'TKR, no guards defend this pilace gate," would be .\n appropriate motto for the above cemetery . Si 'ice it has passed from the eire of the Ngaruawahia Town Board to that (it can't be said care) of the cemetery committee it h.is been left to take care of itself. The fenco is Inokcn, rails diopped out, posts lotted and lying about, cattle straying in and out at will, the mounds of the graves trampled down, floweis and tiues that loving hands have planted broken and destroyed. If the relations and friends of those who rest there ever visit the place they would make some effort to brinpr the committee to a sense of their duty. It is not for the want of funds, as there i 3 some £18 or £20 lying in the bank to their credit. Jf the committee will not take the trouble to do their duty let them resign, and make way for better j men. The placo as it is is a disgrace to the country. — (A. Correspondent.)
