THE LATEST. [Received May 12th, 10.50 a.m.] Prompt Measures for the Relief of Khartoum ! London, May 11.
The Observer thus morning publishes a telegram from a correspondent at Cairo, stating that orders have been received there from the Imperial Government to make preparations for the despatch, in October, of a force of IOjOOO men to relieve General Gordon at Khartoum. It is further stated that Sir Garnet Wolseley will command the expedition.
