Eoyptiax commanders of Dongola and t i ICorosko, towns on the Nile to the north of Berber, have sent a communication to the authorities, in which they express themselves as anxious for the safety of the towns. Government has accordingly ordered reinforcements to be sent to strengthen the garrison of both places. May 10. Despatches have been received feom the Governor of Dongola, announcing that the country to be southward of Dcbbeh is open rebellion, and that Khartoum is completely invested by the rebels. Messengers whom he has despatched to the latter place have beea unable to reach it.
